We all know that today’s workplace is intended to be a place of respect where productivity and teamwork can flourish. But what happens when you run into a situation which is contrary to courteous and ethical conduct, and violates acceptable boundaries? This interactive session takes a look at issues like gossip, bullying and sexual harassment, allowing participants to explore their own experiences and to learn successful strategies for dealing with these kinds of difficult workplace conduct.

An assault response nurse plays a unique role in a time of crisis. They are registered nurses who are internationally certified in forensic nursing and have learned skills to help them connect with patients and make them feel safe. This session will provide a general overview of the program; discuss how evidence is collected, explain what they’re looking for during an exam, and why there’re different injuries for different bodies.
