A New Format for the Minnesota World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference

Registration Now Open- Virtual Free Conference

Due to the current safety needs and restrictions in place to address the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 Minnesota World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference planned for June was moved to August.As the safety of our communities remains at the forefront of all conference planning decisions, this year’s conference will now be held virtually on Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th from 8:30am-1pm on both days.

The virtual conference will feature keynote speaker,Dr. Louise Aronson as well as state and national speakers including Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and US Attorney Erica MacDonald, to address current elder justice issues and best practices including COVID-19 and racial injustice in our communities.To view the full conference program and schedule, please visit our website.

American Sign Language interpreters and closed captioning will be provided throughout the conference for all speakers. For instructions to view interpreter windows during the conference, please email, CLE, POST credits and a general attendance certificate will be offered for participants.

If you have previously registered for the in-person conference, all tickets have been refunded via Eventbrite. To participate in the virtual conference,you must re-register through the new registration buttons.
