Statewide Payables Announcement

To all interested parties:

The Minnesota Judicial Council is beginning the annual review of the Statewide Payables Lists. This process includes reviewing legislative changes to determine if any revisions to the Statewide Payables Lists are needed, soliciting input from interested parties, and publishing the amended lists with an effective date of January 1 of the following year. The current Statewide Payable Offense Policy and payables lists can be found at this linkThe purpose of this email is to solicit your input regarding any proposed revisions to the Statewide Payables Lists. All requests for revisions are due no later than Friday, July 5, 2019 to

Please review the current lists and let us know if there are any revisions, corrections, deletions, or clarifications you would like to request. PLEASE NOTE that under the policy, all petty misdemeanor offenses are payable. The fine amount for petty misdemeanors is the amount set annually by the Judicial Council, which is currently $50, unless another fine amount is set in statute or rule or on the statewide payables list. Therefore, please only request the addition of petty misdemeanors to the payables list if you are proposing a fine other than the amount set annually by Judicial Council.

This is the time to submit your requests to the Judicial Council for consideration. All requests will be considered. After preliminary consideration by Judicial Council, you will receive notice of the proposed revisions and will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions before the Judicial Council makes its final decision.
